What are touch panels?
Touch panels are input-and-output devices with electronic visual displays and touch interactivity. Intelligent Home SmartTouch panels are inbuilt with relays for on/off control of loads such as lights, fans, and TV sockets etc. Every button is connected to a relay where a load up to 16 Amps can be connected.
Do touch panels indicate their on/off positions?
Yes. Intelligent Home SmartTouch panels give you a red indication when the load is “on” and a blue indication when it’s “off”.
How should I choose the right Vitrum switch for me?
By calculating the number of circuit loads available at your existing switchboard & its module size, you can choose your appropriate touch panel.
What is the range of Vitrum switches available?
Our Vitrum switches range from single-touch panels and dimmers with on/off and dimming functions to two-, three-, four-, and six-touch button panels.
Will I have to make changes to the existing wiring in my home to install a Vitrum switche?
Yes. to add a neutral wire in each back box
What are the sizes of the back boxes I might require for Vitrum switches?
For one-,two-, and four-touch panels, a two-module back-box size is required.
For a three and six-touch panels, a three-module back-box size is required.
What are the other Vitrum switches standards available with Intelligent Home?
EU (European), and BS (British Standard)
Do I need to use any specific brand back boxes for Vitrum switches.
No. All our touch panels are compatible with all standard brand metal/flush back boxes. For country/region-it varies, check product specifications.
Is it mandatory to connect insert modules with Vitrum switches?
Not unless the touch panel is used for purposes other than normal electrical switching. For example, if you want your touch panel to dim lights and regulate fans, a dimming insert module would be required. If the touch panel is to be used for curtain control, a curtain insert module is required.
Will I need a dedicated static IP to have device control from everywhere?
No. Just an internet access is enough.
What if one of my Vitrum switch relays fail?
Contact Intelligent Home customer care and follow the warranty procedure as directed by them.
What if my Vitrum Switch crack? Will I have to replace the whole device?
Contact customer care to assess the extent of damage. If only the glass plate has cracked, you can purchase a replacement glass plate from us.
Do the Vitrum Switches relays have any inbuilt protection such as fuses?
Yes. We have an inbuilt fuse between the incoming power & relay contact.
Are Vitrum Switches shock proof?
Yes. The front-side digital PCB inside each Intelligent Home SmartTouch panel works with a mere 5V of DC power, which can’t cause an electrical shock.
What if my Home center 2 fails? Do I need to reprogram it again from scratch?
Not necessarily as a minimum of 3 months server backup could help restore your earlier programming/ configuration.
Are the Fibaro and milesight apps free?
Yes, both apps are free of cost for both Android and iOS.
What is the standard warranty period?
The standard product warranty period is 12 months from the date of installation.
Which finishes are the Vitrum switches available in?
Any ral color.
Is the Harmony Hub page pre-set or can it be customized based on my requirement?
It’s pre-set for now, but we are about to launch a customize button soon.
How do I buy an Intelligent Home product? Who will do the installation?
All our products will be billed, delivered and installed by our technicians.
Do I need any additional wiring? At which stage do I need to plan integration of these products for my new home?
Yes , Neutral cable in each back box. However, it is advisable to contact us during your electrical wiring planning.
Is a UPS or generator backup necessary for home automation?
No, but it is recommended that you have power backup to all automation loads and controllers for uninterrupted security coverage and reduce the risk of alarm triggers getting disabled.
Can the Vitrum switches be customized according to my interior decor?
We can currently accept design customization requests only for bulk orders. Kindly contact us for more information.
Is there any specific wiring required for dimming solutions?
No. For LED loads, kindly make sure the LED driver is phase cut leading edge dimmable type.
What happens when my Wi-Fi/Internet goes down?
When you don’t have internet access, remote controlling from outside your home will not be possible. Manual and app controls will still work within the house without internet.
Is it possible to install Intelligent Home products with my existing traditional and mechanical switches?
Yes. Our relay modules can be used behind the traditional switch board panel to enable the same smart home features of our Vitrum switches.
Is Z-Wave harmful?
Absolutely not. Our system works with ultra-low power RF which is way lower than a standard Wi-Fi router's RF power.
How easy-to-use are Vitrum switches for senior citizens?
Very easy. We can customize the icons/labels for the Vitrum switches to their preference, or connect regular mechanical switches with insert modules to loads if they are more comfortable using traditional switches.
Can Intelligent Home products increase the security of my home?
Yes. Our Security Series offers a sensor-enabled camera and a video doorbell with different alert methods which help you fortify home security. Visit our Smart Series landing page to learn more.
Is RGB color control possible with Fibaro product?
Yes. You can use our Fibaro RGBW relay and the Fibaro App.
Can I control my TV, DTH set top box and home theatre system with Fibaro?
Yes. Our Harmony Hub controller lets you control all of the above.
Can I receive a wake-up call from my audio system?
Yes. Our wireless multi-room audio amplifier, when connected to two 50W speakers can be set up to give you a wake-up call. You can use a USB storage device with the amplifier/phone/online radios/music system connected over LAN/NAS drive*, as a source.
How can I control my AC system?
Split ACs can be controlled using the IR 360° and a VRV or VRF system using MCO home devices.
Is it possible to use scenes (multiple load control) with SmartTouch panels?
Yes. You can create multiple scenes using the Fibaro App.
Yes. It’s possible to dim the light in single touch panel using a dimming module. You can also use the 1 touch dimmer in which light dimming can be controlled using a rotation gesture.
Can Vitrum switches be labelled or marked with icons or symbols?
Yes. It is possible to customize the appearance of your Vitrum switches if the order is at least 50 units. Please contact us for more info.
What are the type of curtain motors that can be controlled?
All Motors with 4 wires from Sedar
Do the Vitrum switches require a SmartHub to work with?
No. If the Vitrum switches are used as standalone. It is required when the SmartTouch panels are used with functionalities like 2-way, scenario, app control & voice command control etc.
What is the connection range between SmartTouch panels and SmartHub Pro?
It depends upon the type of material/obstacles in between the Home Center 2 and the Vitrum switches. In ideal conditions, there is around 10-15 meters range of communication.
Are Intelligent Home products compatible with other Z-Wave products?
Yes. All Intelligent Home products are compatible with Z-Wave certified products.
Are Intelligent Home products certified?
Yes. All Intelligent Home products are Z-Wave certified.
Is home automation worth it?
Home automation is worth the investment. To determine its worth to you, you should weigh the potential benefits with respect to time and money over a period.
